"...On the third day, a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus' mother was there, and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. When the wine was gone, Jesus' mother said to him, "They have no more wine..."
John 2:1-3
I was meditating on this verses and one word called my attention - INVITED.
Invited is the same as a guest.
Guest is a person that spends some time at another's person house, party, gathering, social activity...etc....
According to the dictionary "an often well-known person"
A guest comes and goes, does not stay long, cannot move/change anything inside where he was invited to, has to ask permission to access things inside the house of the person that invited him.
A guest does not have the freedom to walk and do whatever he wants as he is there only as a guest.
If he needs to use the toilet, he needs to ask. If he needs to drink water, he needs to ask. If he wants to sit on the sofa, he needs to ask.
Jesus was a guest at that wedding party. Not the reason for the wedding.
And I have been asking God to show me if the way I treat the Lord Jesus is as a guest in my life or the reason of my life.
Do I allow Him to move/change everything inside of me? Do I give Him the freedom to talk to me and correct me?
One thing is for me to say here I am, do whatever You want with me, another thing is to allow Him to mold me, break me, the way He wants me to be.
Do I control my life, my decisions, my plans, my future or do I allow Him to do it?
I do not want to have the Lord Jesus as a guest in my life. I want Him to be the reason for my life and for that to happen I need to understand that I am nothing without Him.
Have a great day.
