"...Break up your fallow ground, And do not sow among thorns..." Jeremiah 4.3
"...Your ways and your doings Have procured these things for you..." Jeremiah 4.18
I was reading and meditating on Jeremiah chapter 4 and God called my attention to both verses above.
Sometimes we do not understand why things end up the way they are at the moment but we are the ones to be blamed.
Because we do not pour out our heart totally upon the Altar, we do not work on it (ground), removing what does not please Him, we get weak and we will end up sowing among thorns (world).
The consequences will come because of the ways we decided to follow and the works we decided to do.
For me is very clear, the ways and works I decided to do and follow in relation to my health are causing me a lot of pain today.
Now imagine with our Spiritual Life?
"...This is your wickedness, Because it is bitter, Because it reaches to your heart..." Jeremiah 4.18
Thank God for His mercy because we can repent and start again, follow the right way and do what is right so we can reap ahead the good fruits.
