Salt Of The Covenant

"...You shall season all your grain offerings with salt. You shall not fail to use the salt of the covenant of your God on your grain offering. With all your offerings you shall offer salt..."
Leviticus 2:13

I was meditating on this passage and called my attention the word SALT, that I have to present in all my offerings SALT.

I search more about what salt is all about.

✔️ Salt does not deteriorate, but can be adulterated, and then loses its properties and becomes useless because it really ceases to be salt - so I asked myself  how or when can the taste of my offerings towards God be deteriorated or become useless? The flavour of my life is provided by my communion with God, by the Holy Spirit.

✔️ Pure salt does not lose its distinct character, but once mixed with impure and strange elements, it may lose its property - so again I asked myself am I mixing myself with impurities from this world or people that is not on the same faith and deviates me from God presence? Am I getting lost in the middle of the tribulations and stop using my faith?

✔️ Salt can retain the appearance of salt, but not its actual character, it becomes another substance - Is my character before God pure or is only appearance for man to see?

✔️ The primary function of salt is to preserve, to halt decomposition, to act as antiseptic, so that latent germs, for example in the flesh, can be neutralized upon contact with it - Is my offering (first myself who I am and what I do for God) a pure offer, so that all that comes against me from the devil does not prevail? Am I being preserved by His Spirit or I am not under His protection?

✔️ What kind of salt am I on people life? That salt that is used with the correct and good mesure? That gives back the good flavour of the food? Am I like the salt of the dead sea? No life?

✔️ Am I able to pass to people the good flavour, or by the opposite, I put to much? - Do I give from my flesh not from the Spirit - and end up destroing the health - spiritual life -  of the people?

✔️ Excess salt is considered an enemy to health, and may cause hypertension, gastric disorders, etc - Is my offering done all hearthedly, with balance or only to please man and to show off to others?
Jesus speaks about the importance for me to be like the salt.

✔️ "...You are the salt of the world..." - Do I have the tast of the salt to take to the ones that are suffering, lost, those who do not have taste in their lives any more?

✔️ "...But if the salt loses its saltiness, how shall it be made salty..." - If I lose the flavour (the Holy Spirit) how will I be able to survive? How will I be able to help others as I am not helping myself?
My life has to be as the salt inside of a plate - if the food does not have the exact amount of salt the taste is not good, there is no taste at all sometimes, but if the plate has the right amount of salt the food will taste much better.

I have to be different, to do the difference in this world with my flavour (the presence of God in me).
My words, my intentions, my innerself, all must have overflowing portion of the flavour that is given by the Holy Spirit.

And when I present an offering to God I will be doing as He told me on this verse - "...You shall not fail to use the salt of the covenant of your God..."
