“...All the rivers run into the sea, Yet the sea is not full...” Ecclesiastes 1.7
Can you imagine all the waters that we have in all the Earth?
As per National Ocean Service (NOAA) the ocean holds about 97% of the Earth's water.
The remaining 3% is distribuyed in many different places, including glaciers and ice, below the ground, in rivers and lakes and in the atmosphere.
In the all world we have about 165 major rivers. These major rivers are long and wide enough to be classified as major rivers with large volumes of water flowing through them every day.
Reading and understanding the above verse, and after all the information I read above, make me think that, thought every single day those 165 major rivers run in to the sea, the sea is never full though every single day the rivers keep flowing more and more water.
Now let's stop and think about us.
Every single day we look for new things, we want to learn new things, try new things, see new things, eat new things...and is never enough.
People nowadays are not satisfied with what they have or with what they get daily, there is always a small or big gap inside of them that force them to look for something else.
A drug adicted person starts with drugs that are not so strong but with the daily usage, those drugs are not good enough any more and they end up looking for stronger ones.
An alcoholic person the same, starts with wine, beers, but day by day those are not doing what they want/ expect so they go to the what so called white drinks - vodka, whisky, etc - and still they are not satisfied.
I can speak about this because I was there once and I know exactly how it felt.
What we call "GAP" inside is an emptyness that seems that the more we seek things the less we are satisfied.
Clothes, jewels, drugs, alcohool, dating, going out with friends, travelling, nothing can fill that void inside.
And to be honest end up worst because it seems that the more we seek the bigger is the hole inside of us.
Plus, how many times we end up frustated of seeking something that we thing - This one is the right one - and when we see we come out worst.
The strenght to keep looking for that something is running out and that is why so many people end up killing themself.
But I have great and amazing news!!!!!!
I found what completes all the emptiness and gaps and voids that the human being can have inside.
He has the exact size and shape and we are not only fill in but we overflow and that feeling of never been satisfied desapears and we realized that after all, what we needed was so close.
I found the Fountain of Life.
I found the Peace.
I found the Happiness.
I found the Holy Spirit, yes Jesus inside of me satisfies me completly.
No matter if I have food, new clothes, house, car, etc...He knows what I need and He will add those things in to my life - ADD - means that they are not my priority at all.
HE is.
"...But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you..." Matthew 6.33
When I make HIM my priority in life and I live according to HIS will, then all that HE knows I need will be added as HIS promise.
